Austria the player

Roderich twisted the hem of his band "uniform" as he walked across the lawn to Gilbert's somewhat shabby home. He knew he shouldn't be here again. This wasn't fair to Vash, or Gilbert... or even Elizabeta. But he just couldn't stay away.
Innocent conversation.
It always started out so harmlessly. Approaching the door, he could hear the sound of music from within - he knew from the by-now familiar twang of the strings that it was Gilbert playing, not the stereo. He knocked, and the music abruptly stopped, replaced by the pounding of feet across the wooden floorboards. The door opened.
Not so innocent conversation.
It never took long. In the end, he just couldn't resist...
Isn't that just sickeningly sweet.
He who had been alone for so long, who had seen others come and go... he could fool himself now. Feel a smile come to his face as they cuddled like high school sweethearts. The cheap bed springs groaned beneath their weight and the headboard jutted coldly into his shoulder, but he could ignore it all.
Just so you know, that's Ludwig's pillow. So don't start drooling.
Maybe it was because he never really put any effort into resisting.
Well, this is awkward.
If only Gilbert lived alone.

Spare time

Despite being poor bachelors living in a questionable one-room apartment, the Weillschmidt brothers still find ways of amusing themselves.
I think I've discovered the secret of competition: if I only play against myself, I can't lose.
While Germany polishes up his logic skills in preparation to join the police force, Prussia has more exciting hobbies to pursue.
I look sexy with this guitar, and don't I know it.
He's making good money, too.
Just reelin' them in.

The green-eyed monster strikes... with a frying pan

Austria and Prussia are happily flirting away... when Hungary walks in. Well, it is her bedroom.
What the hell are you guys doing in my room?
She doesn't look too happy. In fact, she appears to be imagining mutilating Prussia with a rolling pin. And it gets worse.
Oh, hell no!
Oddly enough, she doesn't pull out any cooking utensils at this point. Instead, her response is to...
Well, this is awkward.
...flirt?
Anyway, Prussia's way of salvaging the situation is to wait in awkward silence until Austria leaves for work, and then to angrily declare Hungary a nemesis and be promptly kicked out of the house.
You suck and I hate you!
Well, that was weird.

Drama unfolds

Gilbert decides to start off in this new neighborhood with a bang, flirting with the first person to walk up to his door... who just happens to be...
Well, he's single, so why not?
However, by the next morning, things have changed...
Prussia goes to visit Austria and discovers that Austria and Switzerland are now in a relationship.
Well, this isn't awesome at all.
That was easily solved.

Bachelor pad

Somebody new is moving into the neighborhood! Never mind, it's two people. Wait a second... there's only one bed.
Well, I suppose that's what happens when you spend all your money on a cute little (unfurnished) log cabin and a shiny new guitar.
Well, at least Gilbert's enjoying himself.

The plot thickens

The problem with flirting with Switzerland, Austria decides, is that Vash spends far too much time working at that military base outside the town. Maybe it's time to play things a little closer to home. After all, just a few rooms away is a beautiful brunette in a green dress who's been oblivious to his attempted romantic interactions so far...
Hungary doesn't take much convincing. Maybe she's been nursing a secret crush for some time beforehand?

Sweet success

Intent on furthering his plan, Austria invites Switzerland over and proceeds to flirt with him in the garden, as Hungary obliviously types away in her bedroom.
Things seem to be going well, so Austria pulls out his guitar and serenades him.
Austria's clumsy wooing fulfills its intended purpose. Switzerland seems to have forgotten all about his girlfriend. Austria leaves the guitar in the garden as he invites Switzerland inside.
Switzerland agrees to dump Erin, who is now Austria's sworn enemy without ever having laid eyes on him. Success!

Seeking romance

Austria's attempts to socialize with Hungary have been foiled; she's far too wrapped up in the thrilling conclusion to the book she's still working on, Independence Day. Seeking company, he heads over the street to the neighbors', and finds Switzerland and Liechtenstein chatting in the backyard.
Austria gets invited inside, where Liechtenstein coerces him into playing the guitar. Intrigued, Switzerland leaves his lunch to listen.
Throughout the course of the conversation, Austria finds out that Switzerland is in a relationship with some random girl called Erin. This interferes with his newfound plans to seduce Switzerland, so Austria decides that Erin must go.

Creeper Austria?

Hungary's just doing her thing, playing some computer games after a nice breakfast of leftover macaroni, when Austria waltzes into her bedroom and makes her bed in his neverending quest to clean. Creeper much? Oddly enough, she doesn't seem to notice.
Later, they have a nice family dinner... of more leftover macaroni, since neither of them can cook much.

Day hobbies

Hungary wants to eventually become a journalist, but for now she's pulling in some cash writing fiction novels.
Here she is, working on her newest drama/romance, Independence Day:

Austria's life goal is to become a hit movie composer. Right now, he's working on upping his guitar skills before vying for a niche in the music industry.
Together, they're making enough to survive... and then some.

APH Meets Sims 3

So, for all who love APH and/or Sims, here is my newest endeavor: an attempt to recreate the lives of our favorite Hetalia characters in the ultimate life simulation game: Sims 3.
Since I've just started this project, I don't actually have anything to post yet, but rest assured: I'm currently hard at work cranking out APH characters and households for my readers' (and my) enjoyment.
For now, here's a picture of Hungary and Austria chatting in front of their mailbox:
